The Jazz Club is back this Friday, February 28th with the Bob Rogers Band. Well known to Revelstoke audiences, local trombonist and composer Bob Rogers will be presenting an evening of original compositions. The band features Revelstokians Shannon Sternloff, bass, and Trevor Wallach, drums, as well as Salmon Armenians Colin Spence, keyboard, Jordan Dick, guitar, and Chris Petterson, sax.
Bob, Shannon and Trevor have been playing together for 25 years now, and Jordan and Colin are veteran musicians from the Shuswap and have been regular members for the past several years. Young saxophonist Chris Petterson is a tremendous player who brings tremendous energy and skill to the band.
The band plays a wide variety of music, from swing to latin to funk, and they are looking forward to performing at the jazz club prior to heading to the studio to begin work on their first recording. Located in the Selkirk Room at the Regent Hotel, admission is by donation and doors open at 7:00. Music runs from 7:30 – 9:30.
