Environmental Sustainability Coordinator – Penny Page-Brittin provided an update Climate Action highlighting the City’s participation through the Revelstoke Community Energy Corporation (RCEC), membership of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), Partners for Climate Protection (PCP), a signatory to the BC Climate Action Charter
and the implementation of the Environmental Sustainability Coordinator. View Presentation

Corporate Administration

Animal Control Amendment Bylaw No. 2247 was adopted. The bylaw includes minor amendments to ensure enforcement action can be upheld should infractions end up in court. View Council Report.

The City’s 2018 Annual Report was made available for public inspection and will be considered by Council at the July 9, 2019 Council meeting.

Development Services

Development Permit 2018-01 – 2955, 2999 & 3124 Camozzi Road – View Council Report /Attachment I / Attachment II. An application for a development permit to construct a multi-storey 158 room hotel and conference center was approved for issuance with conditions.

Engineering

Big Eddy Water System Annual ReportView Council Report. The report is required by Interior Health under the terms of the City of Revelstoke Operating Permit.

Climate Change Coordinator — View Council Report/ Attachment I /  Attachment / Attachment III. The City was approved for a grant of $106, 976 from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) toward hiring a Climate Change Coordinator to focus on planning and implementing municipal climate change priorities for a two-year term.
