Regular Council Meeting – Tuesday, April 9, 2019

Presentations

Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society (CSISS) explained their objectives, described partnerships with Revelstoke, provided 2014-2018 highlights, discussed local priorities and their 2019 program plans. View Presentation.

Financial Planning

The 2019-2023 Financial Plan Bylaw No. 2245 was read a First, Second and Third time. View the Director of Finance’s Council Report.

Corporate Administration

Council supported the Evaluation Committee’s recommendations for the Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiatives and Affected Areas Program grant fund allocations and will seek approval from the CSRD Board.

Development

Development Variance Permit DVP2019-01 to create a buildable area suitable for a typical single family dwelling on an irregular shaped lot at 318 Taylor Street received approval for issuance.

Development Variance Permit Application DVP2019-02 – 410 Fourth Street West – View Council Report / Attachments. An application for a development variance permit was received to allow for the construction of a single family dwelling with secondary suite on each of the vacant lots. Council supported the application and will give notice to neighbouring properties within 100m of their intention consider issuance.

Parks, Recreation and Culture

A Lease Agreement between the City of Revelstoke and the Revelstoke Curling Club to lease a portion of a building located at 1100 Vernon Avenue and to provide assistance at the annual rate of 1% of all income, based on the prior year’s gross revenue for less than fair market value rent received approval to move forward with notification to the public.
