If you’ve heard the sirens around town this evening then hit up your shelves, grab some non expired non perishables, and prepare for a knock on the door. It’s the annual Emergency Services Food Drive- Fight Back Against Hunger, and over 250 individuals, 20 groups and participants from every emergency service group in Revelstoke is aiming to stock the bare shelves of the food bank.
This is the food banks largest initiative, and vital to the food banks ability to serve locals year round. People of all ages, including many families and seniors, regularly utilize the Revelstoke food bank.
If no one came to your home, you were unable to donate or you missed the event, donations can be dropped off year round at Community Connections.
