Missing Revelstoke Man Located Deceased

The body of missing Revelstoke resident John Cunliffe has been found approximately 25 kilometers west of Revelstoke on a Forest Service Road.

Cunliffe was reported missing by his parents in mid June. Closed circuit television at a local gas station on June 18, show Cunliffe making a purchase, and it was his last known sighting. His parents noted their son was outgoing and well liked, and had seemingly been enjoying his time in Revelstoke, having moved to town four months prior to his disappearance. He was, however, dealing with health concerns due to an ATV crash and hemophilia, an inherited blood disorder. Despite a police investigation, numerous interviews and media releases, Cunliffe was not located.

It was his truck, a black Dodge pick up, that was first discovered  on November 17 2018 by a local resident. Police attended the scene and were able to determine the truck belonged to Cunliffe. A search of the area led to the discovery of human remains. BC Coroners Service have confirmed the remains are those of John Cunliffe.

No foul play is suspected.
