Revelstoke – On Wednesday February 12th, 2020 at 4:40 p.m., the Revelstoke RCMP were advised of a missing sledder on Mount MacPherson.
Revelstoke Search and Rescue (SAR) commenced searching shortly after the report was received and conducted searches until midnight Wednesday.
The search re-commenced again on Thursday morning, with mutual assistance from each Salmon Arm Search and Rescue and Golden Search and Rescues. At approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday February 13th, the missing man was located deceased.
The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s sudden death. Due to the privacy of the deceased under the Coroners Act, his name will not be released. The RCMP and the BC Coroners Service have no further information for release.
