Obituary Notice – Audrey Rose Taillefer

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey Rose Taillefer on Thursday, October 17, 2019. There will be no formal funeral service by Audrey’s own request.

Audrey was born in New Westminster, B.C. on September 9, 1941. She spent her childhood in White Rock before moving to Revelstoke in 1972.

Audrey was very involved with the Girl Guides and Brownies. She enjoyed horseback riding and playing bingo. Audrey was an extreme animal lover and was known to take in any animal that needed a good home.

She was predeceased by her husband Ray Taillifer, mother Rose Hagen, father Donald Drope, granddaughter Cassandra and her good friend Tim Butcher. She is survived by her daughter Marlene (Tom) Brajak, sister Darlene Tufts, brother Raymond (Carol Ann) Drope, grandchildren: Shaina, Dylan, Nathan and Landan as well as nine nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind her five “fur” children: Angel, Amos, Arnold, Andy and Archie. Audrey will be sadly missed by many good friends including Charlotte Haywood, Allan and Ardell Hascarl, Brenda Butcher, her niece Carol Grenier and ex son-in-law Scott Inkster.

Revelstoke has lost one it’s finest and most compassionate people.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.

“A beautiful life came to an end. She died as she lived … everyone’s friend. She was always thoughtful, loving and kind. What a precious memory she left behind.”
