Jerry Livesey, 81, passed away on December 20th, 2019. Fittingly, he was engaged in an outdoor activity which was a hallmark of his physically active life.
If you knew Jerry, we invite you to join us at a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, January 7 th at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Begbie Brewing Co., 2155 Oak Dr, Revelstoke, B.C. For directions visit their website at www.mt-begbie.com. Jerry was most comfortable in jeans, and he’d appreciate it if you come as you are.
A separate Ontario service will be held in July for Jerry’s numerous Ontario family and friends. Jerry was born in Kingsville, Ontario to a family with 13 kids! He enlisted in the Air Force, was stationed in Germany, sailed from Canada to the Bahamas, and worked on the Arctic Circle’s DEW line – all before marrying the love of his life, Frieda. He then passionately enjoyed working for BC Hydro while he raised his family, first at a post in what he called the “valley paradise” of Shalalth BC, and later in Revelstoke from 1986 until his retirement in 2018 at the age of 80!
Jerry loved outdoor adventures, including biking, hiking, cross-country skiing and paragliding. He was enthralled by electronics projects, playing the piano, labeling things, listening to classical music, drinking local beers and listening to CBC radio.
He is survived by his wife Frieda; daughter Laura (Rod); son Brian and brothers Lawrence and Alan. We would love to hear a story or joke about the time you shared together either online at www.brandonbowersfuneralhome.com or by joining us at his celebration of life.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
