James Gordon “Jim” Knapp passed away at Mount Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Sunday, August 25 th , 2019 at the age of 73 years. There will be a Celebration of Life at St. Francis of Assisi Church Hall, Revelstoke on Saturday afternoon, September 7 th , 2019 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer Society of B.C., 300 – 828 West 8 th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1E2, in memory of Jim.
Jim was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and had been a resident of Revelstoke for 45 plus years. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. Jim was an avid dart and card player and took great delight in hustling a good game of cards with his Alberta relatives.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Leona and his siblings Dale, Joan, Beth and Doug. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Delores of Revelstoke; three children: Lyle (Stefani) Knapp of Revelstoke, Michelle (Henry) Roy of Edson, Alberta, Shereen (Mike) Marz of Mackay, Alberta; nine grandchildren: Kelsey, Garret, Eric (Katie), Ryan (Jen), Malia (Billy), Griffin, Kohen, Oaklan and Taven; one great granddaughter expected in December; in-laws: Delores, Elaine, Gloria, Audrey, Shirley, Walter and David (Debbie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
