It’s with great sadness we must say goodbye to Larry Max Wasylnka (also known as Zeke or Wasy) on Sept 23, 2020, after a battle with Vascular Dementia. Born in Vancouver, BC on May 10 1941, he moved to Revelstoke BC at a young age and grew up on a farm, 8 miles south of Revelstoke known as Mt. Cartier.
Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him, he was a loving, soft hearted and very kind person, liked by all who were lucky enough to know him. He lived a simple life and loved to golf. He loved to walk the trails of the golf course where he lived, for exercise, and would always find the lost golf balls. Consequently, he had a large collection after 8 years.
He lived in Maple Ridge, BC for some 40 years and worked in banking for many years before changing to construction building high-rises houses before retiring and moving to Kelowna 9 years ago. He loved to travel to the U.S. and especially Las Vegas. He made several driving trips and covered a large area of the west coast.
He was predeceased by his 1 st wife, Lynda and brother, Johnny and is survived by his common-law spouse, Di-Anne, and daughters Sarah (Andy) Horner and Julie (Darrell) Wasylnka, as well as grandchildren Makayla and Addison Horner and Nathaniel and Henry Wasylnka. Also, brothers, Stephan (Mariette) Wasylnka and Michael Wasylnka, and sisters Susan (Gert) Knudsen and Evelyn (Gary) Mitchell as well as nieces Stacey, Kirsty and Kathy and nephews Jesse, Colin and Robert.
The family would like to thank Dr. Schriemer and Carol for all their kindness and help during his illness!
With COVID restrictions in place, a private memorial service will be held on Oct 17 th at 1 PM. However, the family would like to invite all who would like to pay their respects to join livestream at 1 PM at
