With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Nancy Maxine Lambert (born Nancy Maxine Penno). Nancy was born on June 29 th , 1958 in Fort William, Ontario to Allan and Grace Penno. She was the middle child in her family, with two younger brothers and two older sisters. Nancy was raised on a farm up the Blaeberry, outside of Golden, B.C.
Nancy was married on October 5 th , 1979 to Grant Lambert in Fort St. John B.C. They had three daughters together. They later separated but cared for each other and remained in touch over the years.
Nancy had a strong work ethic, despite many challenges she faced in her life. She was a loving soul with a heart of gold. She often cared more about the needs of others than her own.
After a long battle with COPD Nancy passed away peacefully on March 21 st , 2020 in the Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke. Nancy is survived by her three daughters Stacey, Ashley, and Asia; her partner Ed Burke, her parents Allan and Grace Penno; her younger brothers Kurt and Michael; older sisters Melanie and Cindy, as well as her former husband Grant Lambert.
Although we are devastated to lose her, we are heartened by the fact that she no longer has to suffer in her earthly body. She is a beautiful angel now and we shall meet her again one day.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
