Obituary Notice – Patricia Dahlia Gauthier

Patricia Dahlia Gauthier passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020 at the age of 75 years. There will be no formal funeral by Pat’s own request. A Celebration of life will be announced in the spring of 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of B.C. 1501 – 4330 Kingsway, Burnaby, B.C. V5H 4G7, in memory of Pat.

Pat was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan on March 17, 1945 and had been a long-time resident of Revelstoke. In her younger years she enjoyed playing baseball and coaching and was very active with community service and volunteering with numerous clubs. Pat loved watching many sports and always cheered loudly! She also enjoyed her games of Scrabble, a round of dice, bingo or keno. Throughout her years , she enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and LOTS of crocheting, making the most beautiful fine lace doilies. Pat really enjoyed being a resident of Mt. Begbie Manor, where many cherished friendships were formed. Family was most important to Pat, and she was always so proud of all their accomplishments.

Pat will always be remembered as a good person, who only saw the good in people and always took the side of the underdog , Compassionate and empathetic, always willing to help where ever she could. She was a woman who dealt with her disability with such grace. As a friend said, and everyone would agree ” A Lovely little light in this world ”
and will be Greatly missed!!

Pat was predeceased by her parents, brother Dennis, and sister Mary. She is survived by three children: Dan Gauthier (Crystal) of Revelstoke, Lisa (Todd) Embryk of Fort McMurray and Debbie (Grant) McDonald of Salmon Arm; two grandchildren: Lee Gauthier (Emmy) of Victoria and Sabrina Gauthier (Jay) of Kelowna; siblings: Maxine (Wayne) Wasyleski of Nanaimo, Mike (Melinda) Boruch of Revelstoke and Jack (Sharon) Boruch of Revelstoke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
