It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Vanryckeghem at Mount Cartier Court, Revelstoke on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the age of 83 years.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Friday July 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Revelstoke Seniors Center, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 1781, Revelstoke, B.C., V0E 2S0, in memory of Shirley.
Shirley was born on December 21, 1935 in Edmonton, Alberta to Lottie and Harry Wyld. She married Andre Vanryckeghem on September 17, 1966. Shirley and Andre raised their three children in Revelstoke B.C. while running their business Alpine Trailer Towing.
Shirley enjoyed gardening, crafting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to volunteer and recently received her 35-year pin with the Hospital Auxiliary.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents Lottie and Harry. She is survived by her husband Andre; daughters Brenda (Grant) and Wendy (Rick); son Steven (Nerissa); grandchildren Sarah, Josh, Alexis, Naomi, Dennon, Alysha, Mitchel, McKenzie, Caleb and Lydia; and her brother Charlie (Judy) Wyld.
Shirley’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Mount Cartier Court for the care they gave her over the last two years.
