Yvonne Marie Blake passed away peacefully at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke on Saturday, September 5 th , 2020 at the age of 81 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Yvonne’s own request.
Yvonne was born in Revelstoke on September 7, 1938 and had been a life long resident. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking and was a very accomplished baker, a skill she gained from her mother. Known for putting others ahead of herself, she was a kind, generous and loving woman, always happy to help any of her friends or family in need of assistance. Yvonne’s family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren who she was most proud of.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim of Revelstoke; two children: James (Sandy) Blake of Revelstoke and Leslie (Les) Husband of Prince George; four grandchildren: James (Molly) Blake of Revelstoke, Brady Blake of Revelstoke, Michelle (Noah) Giene of Prince George and Brent (Kara) Husband of Prince George; two great grandchildren: Brooklyne Giene and Chloe Giene; brother Barry Camozzi of Kelowna as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family of Yvonne would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Queen Victoria Hospital that cared for her, in particular Drs. Haines and McCarroll.
