The Revelstoke chapter of Protect Our Winters (POW), a not-for-profit aiming to fight climate change of the outdoor sports community, is hosting a night of films, speakers, Q & A and prizes after the opening day at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
The event will take place at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, November 30 with the doors opening at 6:30.
Electric Greg, by Switchback Entertainment and featuring Revelstoke’s own Greg Hill.
A second film, Shelter, by PICTURE ORGANIC CLOTHING and featuring Jeremy Jones, will also be shown.
After the films, a Q & A with the filmmakers, athletes and Protect Our Winters Ambassadors will take place.
There will be a variety of prizes donated by Skookum Cycle and Ski, Revelstoke Trading Post. Flowt Bikes and Skis, Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery, Revy Outdoors, PICTURE ORGANIC CLOTHING, and Free Spirit Sports.
On the day of the event, Rumpus Beer Company will be donating $1 from beer sales from 3 pm- close, and Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery will be donating $2 from cocktail sales, to POW.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be going to Protect Our Winters Canada
