RCMP Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect

By Staff Sergeant Grabinsky,

On Friday April 6, 2018 the Revelstoke RCMP reported a lone male had walked into a financial institution on First Street West in Revelstoke, BC. The male demanded cash from the bank teller. The male was provided with an undisclosed amount of money and departed the bank, leaving in blue Pontiac four door sedan, without further incident. The media release and CCTV photo were instrumental in identifying the suspect and leading to an arrest.

On Tuesday April 24, 2018 Police Officers of the Cranbrook RCMP Detachment arrested a 31 year-old Cranbrook male in connection with this serious criminal offence. The Provincial Crown has approved a criminal charge of Robbery, contrary to Section 344(1)(b) off the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused’s next scheduled court appearance is set for Tuesday May 22, 2018 in the Salmon Arm Provincial Court.
