Red Apple Revelstoke ‘Fill A Sleigh’ Drive a Massive Success

Revelstoke’s Red Apple has been on a toy drive that started November 17 and culminated today, December 8, with the company wide Fill the Sleigh campaign.

Fill the Sleigh is a part of Red Apple’s ‘Together we Care’ program, created to raise funds to support initiatives and charities in each local area. Each store location aims to literally fill a sleigh with toys for children in the community. Additionally, the company donates 10% of all toy sales for that day to go to the store locations charity of choice.

Revelstoke’s Red Apple donations are going to the Revelstoke Community Connections Christmas Hampers, where they will be given to children in need throughout Revelstoke.

“Thanks to the generosity of this community, over $2,357.19 of items were sold and donated today, and over $8,303.19 over the course of the entire drive,” says store manager Trevor English.

It’s a big accomplishment.

“We teamed up with the Volunteer Firefighters who were a huge help,” says English. “The community was so incredibly generous. It was a great day.”
