Remembrance Day 2018 and the Anniversary of Armistice

Revelstoke residents are invited to the cenotaph, located at 521 First Street West, this morning to commemorate Remembrance Day. The Remembrance Day parade will form on Main Street at 10:40 am and march down First Street West to the cenotaph, where the ceremony takes place.

Today’s ceremony marks the 100th Anniversary of Armistice of the first world war on November 11, 2018. The Legion has refreshments upstairs after the ceremony.

Between 3-4:30 pm today the Revelstoke Museum and Archives, at 315 1 Street West, will host a talk about how World War One affected Revelstoke and close their long running exhibit dedicated the first world war. The event is free to attend.
