Reminders from the City

The City Views Newsletter for May 2019 has been released.

The highlights of the newsletter include –

Requesting residents to be vigilant in regards to their garbage in an effort to keep bears from becoming garbage conditioned. In addition to garbage – bird feeders, pet food and unsecured outdoor freezers should be addressed. Secondary suites requires a garbage sticker for the second can on collection day.

Water restrictions are in effect year round. Outdoor water use is permitted on even numbered properties, on even number calendar days; odd numbered properties, on odd number calendar days, between 6 am and 10 am only.

Fire Ban – The flats south of Revelstoke is currently considered a high fire risk and no fires are permitted.

Downtown parking – Parking is subject to time limitations. City’s parking lots, located on either side of Grizzly Plaza, First Street East at Orton, at the Community Centre and on the paved portion adjacent to the tracks along Victoria Road, are 24 hour parking. Camping is not permitted in any parking lot or roadway.
