Revelstoke Ski Club U14 Represent at Provincials

The Revelstoke Ski Club headed to Provincials in Prince George, where they competed against the top racers in British Columbia.

“Prince George Ski Club and Purden Ski Resort put on an excellent event – we even got a sneaky pow day while we were there,” says Program Director Katie Findlay.

With competitors coming in from outside the usual zone races, Provincials gives the youth a chance to meet and compete against a whole new group of fellow race enthusiasts .

“It was great for our team to see how fast some of the skiers are from elsewhere in the province, and to make friends from all over B.C,” says Findlay. “I’m really happy with how hard the U14s have worked this season and it showed in their performances at Provincials.”

Findlay is impressed with everyone’s efforts, including top ten finishes and personal bests/goals that were achieved. As far as podium finishes, Reed Kelly and Noah Paltinger’s teams came first and second respectively in the team dual slalom, and Reed Kelly came third in the Giant Slalom.

Revelstoke Ski Club still has a couple races left; the zone finals in Silver Star April 6/7. Additionally, a couple racers will be heading to the Whistler Cup April 12 – 14.

Congratulations on a great season everyone.
