Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre Christmas Shop Worth a Look

Last night the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre Christmas Shop opened its doors to the public. With 35 artists contributing, there is something for everyone.

While there was plenty of large pieces on hand, there was also affordable and adorable goods in every price range. My own children quickly spotted the wooden reindeer, each unique. At $10 per deer, they would make wonderful stocking stuffers (and all proceeds from their sale go to the local food bank.) Jewellery, ironworks, small and large paintings and mixed media, pottery, soapstone, woodwork, prints, cards, and felted wool stockings and mitts filled the room. The diversity of art was impressive.

There is plenty of time to head down and both enjoy the artwork and make a purchase. The Christmas Shop is open Tuesday to Saturday, 12 – 4 pm., until December 21. Entrance by donation (including food bank donations, the hamper is by the door.)
