Snowfall Warning for Trans Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass

If you can stay off the highways today, it’s probably a good call. Environment Canada is warning of a significant snow storm, with an estimated 15-20 cm expected. It is not expected to taper off until Wednesday morning.

The press release notes that rapidly accumulating snow will make travel increasingly difficult and limit visibility.

For those who need to head out of town today, be sure to be prepared to deal with potential road closures. A shovel, first aid kit, winter boots/clothing/blanket, flashlight, water, snacks, and a full tank of gas are recommended.
