Development Services

Temporary Use Permits and Temporary Winter Shelter Program—Council approved an amended motion to take part in a stronger consultation process and recommendations from the August 15, 2019 Committee of the Whole meeting to prepare amendments to the OCP and Zoning Bylaws to allow for Temporary Use Permits throughout the City and to conduct a Neighbourhood Consultation process for a Temporary Winter Shelter.

• Liquor License—Extension of Hours Application LIQ2019-02 Traverse Night Club – Council endorsed staff comments for change of hours. View the Report / Attachments.

• Liquor License—Extension of Hours Application LIQ2019-03 Regent Motor Inn — Council endorsed staff comments for changes of hours. View the Report / Attachments.

• Heritage Alteration Permit Application HAP2019-02 —501 Mackenzie Avenue — Council approved the Heritage Alteration Permit, with subject conditions, to:

remove the existing carport and addition at the rear of the house;
 construct new two-storey additions at the rear and side of the house;
 construct a new veranda; and construct outdoor patio at the rear of the property

Community Economic Development

Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) —Council approved the funding recommendations from the Tourism Initiatives Committee in the amount of $300,550.00 and approved the entering into of a Service Agreement with the approved applicants.
