Revelstoke RCMP Update Regarding Multiple Thefts from Dec 2017

In the early hours of Monday December 17, 2018 a residential area of Revelstoke experienced a large number of thefts. The RCMP can report that the sled and trailer, cargo trailer and bicycle all stolen on December 17th have been recovered. Two  persons were arrested in Chilliwack and are charged with possession of stolen property.

On Monday December 17, 2018 the RCMP received multiple complaints of thefts all originating in a residential area of Revelstoke. Between 4th and 8th Streets, all east of Mackenzie Avenue, the police received numerous reports of thefts; in summary an attempted stolen licence plate, theft of sled and trailer, entrance into a parking garage, stolen $3000 bicycle, theft of cargo trailer, and several vehicles entered. The RCMP have received a set of keys located in a vehicle that were most likely placed there by the thieves, possibly as a result of being stolen from another vehicle.

Several citizens have reported to police since these incidents had been reported, which has aided in the investigation. Police continue to encourage residents and vehicle owners to secure their property.

A male and female from Calgary have been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, including the stolen Revelstoke bicycle. These persons were also allegedly in possession of stolen credit cards, licence plates and a 2014 Ford F150.
