The family of Kurt and Susan Huettmeyer wish to express their deepest gratitude to all of the individuals who reached out to us after the tragic, sudden loss of our beloved daughter, Leslie Anna Bjerland (Huettmeyer).
We were very moved with the many acts of kindness shown towards each of us.
We were also left speechless at the number of individuals who expressed how they were touched by Leslie through her kindness, humor, love and positive outlook on life.
I would like to share one of Leslie’s favorite quotes: “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass….it’s learning to dance in the rain.”
We are left with an immense hole in our hearts however we are thankful at how much better all of us are just to have known her but for such a short while.
I would like to close with a quote from Rev. Peter Bjerland’s Meditation that he spoke at Leslie’s funeral: “We must look for Leslie’s presence in new and different ways. We must keep the eyes of our heart open.”
