Grizzlies Win Final Game in The Regular Season 2019

The Revelstoke Grizzlies pulled off a decisive win in the last game of their regular season, beating the Sicamous Eagles in a 3-1 victory.

The first goal was scored by Speerbrecker, assisted by Hay and McCallum. The second was scored by Flann, assisted by Kohlman and Speerbrecker. The third goal was scored by Flann and assisted by Bodtker and Vulcano.

The puck dropped a little later than normal, as several awards were given out prior to the game. They included various volunteer awards, including:

Patti Matsushti – Fan of the Year

Ethan Schaeffer – KIJHL Doug Birks Division Rookie of the Year

Ryan Parent – KIJHL Coach of the Year

Joanne Anderson -Volunteer of the Year

Fan of the Year 

Senior Fan of the Year awarded to the late Rienk Rienks accepted by his family

Raymond Speerbrecker – Fan Favourite

Liam McGarva – Fan Favourite

Fan Favourites with Roma Threatful.

Grizzlies Captain Tommy Bodtker accepted the Doug Birks banner from league President Larry Martel.

Having won the Doug Birks Division for the regular season, the Revelstoke Grizzlies are heading into the division playoffs with plenty of confidence and hopefully a clear path to the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference playoffs.

Congratulations to the Grizzlies for an exciting regular season.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies first playoff game will be vs Kamloops Storm, Tuesday February 26th, at the Revelstoke Forum. Puck drops at 7:00pm.
