PRESENTATIONS

Stoke Youth Network’s Liaison Leslie Hogg provided background information on youth initiatives in Revelstoke, reviewed 2016-2019 highlights, discussed local priorities and their 2019 program plans. View Presentation.

FINANCIAL PLANNING

The 2019-2023 Financial Plan Bylaw No. 2245 was adopted and the 2019 Tax Rates Bylaw No. 2246 was read a First, Second and Third Time. View Council Report.

CORPORATE ADMINISTRATION

Council appointed three members to serve on the Parcel Tax Review Panel which will meet on May 9, 2019 for the Big Eddy Local Area Service Bylaw No. 2094 and Thomas Brook Local Area Service Bylaw No. 2181.

DEVELOPMENT

Development Variance Permit DVP2019-02—View Council Report / Attachments.

A development variance permit was issued for 408 and 410 Fourth Street West to enlarge the building envelope to accommodate construction of a single family dwelling with a secondary suite on each of the existing lots.

PARKS, RECREATION & CULTURE

Council authorized the Mayor and Corporate Officer to sign the Lease Agreement between the City and the Revelstoke Curling Club to lease a portion of a building located at 1100 Vernon Avenue and the Tripartite Service Agreement between the City, Revelstoke Accommodation Association and Revelstoke Arts Council to provide entertainment at Street Fest and assist in the management of the Performing Arts Centre.

Farwell Splash Park – Jake-Jay Construction Ltd. was awarded the contract for construction of the splash pad. View Council Report.

The Art Allery project located behind the Selkirk Medical Clinic and the Royal Bank was approved subject to the requirements of the Development Permit approval process.
