Looking for a place to ring in the new year and missed a ticket to the Download 2018 NYE party? If you’re heading for a night on the town, there are several places to celebrate.
If you have kids in tow, check out Revelstoke Mountain Resorts nightly hot chocolate and bonfire located at the village plaza from 4-6 pm.
Take the littles inside and check out the Sutton Place Tree Pagent, where a selection of Christmas trees have been decorated by local businesses. You can vote for your favourite and be entered to win a variety of prizes.
Stick around for the first of two firework shows, the kid friendly one taking place at 7pm. The Kids ROC will also be open for a free craft night from 5-8 pm.
Want to celebrate early after a day on the hill? Keep your ski boots on and head into the Revelation lodge to ring in the Hogmany. DJ ‘Jay Wes’ will be playing and Britan’s new years countdown will be playing on the big screen and there will be a complimentary toast. The last gondola has been extended to 5:30pm.
If you stick aorund (or head to RMR) a midnight fireworks display will be launched at RMR and will be visible from both the village base and the parking lot #3.
An early celebration to dance to is the Twilight Spirit held at the Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery. DJ Allie Bruni-Reindeau will be having a small dance party, and while the event is free, early arrival is recommended as space is limited. The dance runs from 5-7pm.
Ready for a late night dance party? The Traverse will have a two DJ’s playing and drinks flowing. Expect a cover charge. Doors open at 9pm.
The Last Drop is hosting a Gold and Glitter dance party with hip hop artist Leno TK. ft Joey Jyde and special guest Young Jeda. The party starts at 10pm and there is no cover charge.
