Alice Faye Lines passed away peacefully at Mt. Cartier Court, Revelstoke B.C. on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at the age of 75 years. Alice Faye was born on June 19, 1945 in Cranbrook, B.C. After the sudden death of her father (Benjamin K. Embree) her mother (Jennie Embree) moved the family to Creston B.C. where she was raised. She graduated from business school and then started her career with the Ministry of Transportation and Highways. Alice Faye retired after 35 years as District Manager of Finance and Administration. Moving to Revelstoke B.C. with Highways is where she meet a dashing young man, Jim. They were married in the United Church in Creston. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at Mt. Cartier Court in May 2020. She was truly blessed with a tremendous circle of friends in Revelstoke who shared her love of many activities such as golfing, bowling and ladies fast pitch. Alice Faye loved baking, dancing, her cats, and always having a treat in her pocket to give any dog that she passed by. Alice Faye and Jim traveled to every wedding, anniversary, birthday, baptism, and special holidays to be with the family. Alice Faye was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim in July of this year, sister Beattrice (Fred) Ryckman, brother Dale Embree, sister Carol Currie, brother-in- law Robert Audette, and nephew Raymond Audette. She is survived by sister Patricia Audette of Creston, sister-in-law Emily Embree of Kelowna, brother-in-law Robert (Diane) Lines of Nelson, brother-in-law David (Debbie) Currie of Creston and extended family Lorraine (Cole and Sam) Kurtz of Langley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff (who were the angels at her side) of Mr. Cartier Court for their exceptional care of Alice Faye.
We will forever and always hold her dear in our hearts. As Auntie Faye would always say: “Love ya lots!”
There will be a grave side service on June 19th, 2021 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers friends and family are asked to make a memorial contribution to a charity of their choosing (charities in Revelstoke appreciated).
