Angela Silano passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Thursday, March 21 st , 2019 at the age of 94 years. Prayers will be recited from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday evening, April 12 th , 2019 at 7:00 p.m., followed by The Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning, April 13 th , 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Cecil Nunez celebrant. Pallbearers will be Angela’s grandchildren and family friends. Interment will follow in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society, #202 – 1835 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 3H5, in memory of Angela.
Angela was born in Villanova, Italy on May 5, 1924. She moved to Albert Canyon in 1953 and then to Revelstoke in 1963. Angela loved gardening and sharing the bounty of her vegetable gardens. She especially loved the family meals held on Sunday at her home.
Angela was predeceased by her husband Alfonso in 1985 and her siblings. She is survived by three children: John (Carol) of Revelstoke, Maria (Colin) Strachan of Campbell River and Alf (Cathie) of Revelstoke; seven grandchildren: Stan, John, Rob, Gino, Peter, Craig and Terrilynn; six great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
