Daniel Otto “Dan” Abramson passed away peacefully at his residence in Golden on May 31 st , 2019 at the age of 56 years. A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Hall on Saturday afternoon, June 8 th , 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Dan Meakes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
charity of one’s choice, in memory of Dan.
Dan was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on February 2, 1963 and was a life-long resident of Revelstoke and Golden. He worked for many years for C.P. Rail in the car shops and transferred to Golden when the facility was moved there. He retired from C.P. Rail on December 6, 2017 after 37 years of service. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He was an avid skier and a wonderful cook. In his younger years, he played guitar in a band. Dan was a beloved child, brother, uncle and a loyal friend. He loved travelling with his family and was a loving son who was always caring for his mother Verna.
Dan was predeceased by his father Arnold in 1994. He is survived by his mother Verna of Revelstoke; two siblings: Amandah Tanner of Vancouver and Melvin Abramson of Wilkie, Saskatchewan; nieces and nephews: Belinda (Mark) Sherman of North Battleford, Sask., Sydney Abramson of Saskatoon, Sask., Jenita (Trevor) Sittler of North Battleford, Sask., and Madison (Kelly) Abramson of North Battleford, Sask.; great nieces and nephews: Curtis, Remy, Thayer, Hannah; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his ex-wife and good friend Cheryl Schier of Vernon as well as his beloved dog Kiera.
