Overnight theft of trailer and sleds

Suspect Truck

On Monday December 16th, 2019 the Revelstoke RCMP commenced an investigation into the theft of a trailer and sleds stolen at approximately 1:30 am on December 16th from a hotel in Revelstoke.

A black and silver Alcom Crossover enclosed trailer, bearing Alberta licence plate 5CJ271 was removed from the victim’s truck and connected to another truck and taken away. Surveillance video shows a Caucasian male, approximately 25 to 40 years of age, and wearing dark clothing, operating a newer white Ford F350 diesel crew cab. The suspect truck is not displaying a front licence plate, has a red auxiliary fuel tank in the rear box behind the cab, has large oversized tires with black wheels, and a full sunroof. The suspect truck backed up to the trailer, unhitched it and moved it over to their vehicle and then departed to the Trans-Canada Highway. The suspect vehicle has a burned out left taillight.

Inside the trailer were two snow machines; a red 2014 Polaris 800 Pro-RMK with Alberta marker HDR37 and a black (custom dark and grey camouflage wrap) 2018 BRP Summit with Alberta marker KEP57. Also stolen were a variety of sled equipment, such as KLIM riding gear, tools, Superclamps, two Snowpulse back packs, and fluids and fuel.

Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact the Revelstoke RCMP Detachment at 250.837.5255 or Revelstoke Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS (8477). All Crime Stoppers calls remain anonymous and information is utilized to apprehend subjects responsible for various crimes.
