The sixth annual Christmas Tree Pageant at the Sutton Hotel was a huge success. A fundraiser for the Revelstoke Food Bank, the competition was open for several weeks over the holidays. Numerous groups and businesses had decorated trees at the Sutton Place Hotel and, for a small fee, people could vote for their favourite.
Organizer Naomi Morgan, Sutton Place’s Front Office Manager, had set a goat of $1,000.
“I am so excited to day we were able to raise a whopping $1,345.00,” she says. “That’s a full $345.00 above our goal, and just over 30% growth from last year.”
Like last year, the voting was close. For the second year running, Parks Canada won first place. The Filipino Community coming in second and a very close third going to Revy Outdoors, who took second the year prior.
Congratulations to all the participant. Winners of the draw prizes have not been publicly released.
