Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy sock fundraiser

Socks Fundraiser Supports Local Literacy Group

Community Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) Revelstoke’s Socks for Literacy fundraiser is back!

“A huge thank you to our partners at Blue Sky Clothing for supporting literacy in Revelstoke and across the province,” says Tracy Spanner, Revelstoke’s Community Literacy Coordinator. “Proceeds from the sale of these socks stay right here in Revelstoke and help support family literacy programs such as Parent-Child Mother Goose and children’s literacy programs such as One to One reading.”

For each pair of socks sold, a dollar is given to CBAL. There are multiple kinds of socks available. Merino wool socks for toddlers and kids are $5 a pair while adult socks are $7 a pair. Merino wool ski socks for both men and women are $15 a pair, and bamboo dress socks for men and women are only $5 a pair.

The fundraiser runs throughout the month, with orders being placed on both the 15 and 30 of November. For those who are not able to come by the CBAL office (Room 120- 1001 Mackenzie Ave in the Revelstoke Early Years Centre) to order (please bring cash or cheque), orders can be emailed and funds e-transferred to tspanner@cbal.org. There are a limited selection of socks in stock and people are welcome to come and check the quality or purchase.

These socks make great stocking stuffers.
