Obituary Notice – Eula McGiven

Eula McGiven passed away peacefully at her residence in Revelstoke on Friday, October 4 th , 2019 at the age of 86 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Eula’s own request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moberly Manor, Box 1570, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Eula.

Eula was born in Shergrove, Manitoba on January 29, 1933 and moved to Revelstoke at the age of 15. She lived here until 1986 when she and her husband Jim retired to Nanoose Bay, B.C. In 2008 they moved to Armstrong and Eula moved back to Revelstoke in 2018. She was an avid tennis player and was proud of the fact she won the Senior’s Games in tennis. Eula also enjoyed playing bridge. She loved Mexico and her trips there were always a highlight for her. Eula especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family meant everything to her.

Eula was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim in 2013, her parents Irvin and Ruby and siblings: Owen, Jim, David and Bertha. She is survived by three children: Jim (Elaine) McGiven of Revelstoke, Georgina (John) Manson of Revelstoke and Nola (Dominique) McGiven of Sicamous; five grandchildren: Tom (Stephanie) McGiven of Nanaimo, Jennifer (Travis) McGiven of Revelstoke, Brian (Amy) McGiven of Revelstoke, David (Heather) Manson of Lumby and Kara (Trevor) Pelletier of Revelstoke; 12 great grandchildren: Arwyn, Riley, Kristian, Peyton, Maizey, Jace, Winnie, Axel, Ari, Seyja, Makayla and Carver; siblings: Gladys, Nina, Carrie, Rufus and Carl as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
