Yesterday, the Revelstoke Current published an article about the upcoming charity hockey game that pitches the Revelstoke RCMP against the Revelstoke Fire Rescue.
Firefighter Matt Robinson had noted the plan to rough up the RCMP team, who have won two years in a row, in an effort to get a few chances on net.
Revelstoke RCMP Staff Sergeant Kurt Grabinsky has a message for the Revelstoke Fire team.
“We are really looking forward to respectful game with these people we truly respect on the front line,” he says. “Although, that respect may be thrown out when comes down to this game game. We plan on doing what we need to do to be the winning side.”
It’s all in good fun, and the players are ready, in spite of the good natured chirping.
Head on down to the Revelstoke Forum this Friday, February 22. Puck drops at 1900 hours, admission by donation. All proceeds go to charity.
