The winners for a poster contest held by the North Columbia Environmental at elementary schools across Revelstoke have been selected.
Zephlyn Seymour, a grade 2 student at Columbia Park Elementary, won the primary (K,1,2,3) award.
Last Friday, May 17, despite being sick and home for the day, Zephlyn headed to school to collect his prize. Zephlyn went home with two tickets to the Pipe Coaster at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, stickers and a reusable container.
Sophie VanOort, a grade 7 student at Begbie View Elementary, won the intermediate award.
The posters were meant to inspire people to step away from single use plastics.
